Purchase an airline ticket on same airlines as roundtrip
If tickets bought on 2 separate airlines, both must have baggage rights.
Make sure your luggage can be checked in up to your destination

The Best Airlines for Last Minute Vacation Travel.
Traveling can really get in your bones, and sometimes, with just a couple of months between you and your last vacation, you begin to get the rambling jones again. The thought of revisiting a favorite tropical island, or seeing a different climate and culture with each vacation, sets the constant traveler on edge. When a sudden pass from work is offered, or you are told that you need to take your pass days or lose them at year’s end, which is just around the corner, finding a last minute pass deal through an airline can be a life saver.
With so many airlines to select from, and, depending upon how close you live to a major international airport, like O’Hare in Chicago, there could be many international as well as national and regional carriers offering last minute pass deals. When an aircraft is less that 60% full, with only a couple of days until departure, they will offer cheap airfare, and in conjunction with a resort that they have a relationship with, offer last minute pass deals, from all inclusive resorts or private beach cabins, to 2-star hotels titled “Oceam View” that are 10 or more blocks from the ocean (which is not in view) and everything in between.
For where you live, check with your local airfield to see what carriers offer last minute pass deals. Afterwards, either visit, call or check the websites of the airlines that do offer the last minute pass deals. Keep looking until you find a deal that suits your sporting, recreational and leisure preferences. You might have to go to an island or tropical location that would not normally be on your wish list of places to visit, but if the price is right, why not?

The ideal airlines for last minute pass travel can also be found on on-line pass sites, like expedia.com, travelocity.com, tripcentral.com or redtag.com, and the deals are commiserate with high and low tourist seasons. Going to Cuba in late July or August would make for a rather cheap vacation, since not too many people go to tropical locales during the summer months.
Whenever you have the rambling jones, and the need for travel is biting hard on your soul, why not check with the pass providers, you might just end up with a deal of a lifetime for your perfect pass setting.
