second Brisbane 1. 2008 [revised April 2009]

separation takes place whenever we believe Me Mine first or first. Easy as that.

v

separation takes place apiece time we think we are cute, sexy, wiser, richer, softer, more friendly … more … more than the mortal in the queue before us.

v

separation occurs when we think we are more deserving than someone else.

v

separation occurs when we, as we act for the good of our children, our families, our friends, we can near someone to get someone out of the way, what we want to do is imagine.

At its ugliest, it is often the most graphics on the massive screen.

separation brings images of looters in the wake of the disaster

photos of separating the * other * Nice people crowding apiece other in the manner of obtaining the trampling apiece other to the Horde, what to think to survive – they want for themselves and their families – they want at the expense of someone else in the family.

separation favors one child over another, both at home and in the classroom.

The separation is effected at a glance to someone on grappling value, we can decide, “t can” speak “so that we actively, if unintentionally, to follow the separation

separation think we are good and just because we care for our loved ones during -. maybe – a donation to a cause that pulls the strings of the heart, but close our heart energy, we spend the grunge homeless hidden away in a bus

v

In addition States, 15.17 utterances:. Superior a dinner of herbs where love is a fat ox and hatred with it, is a parable that I Moriya, an adaptation of Erel Segal interpretation to comprehend the great universal love and link the concept of non-offer separation.

There was a time he was a wealthy merchant who wanted to change his karma by preparing a feast for the local poor. He had slaughtered some of his ideal horse. It has sent officials on the market and other flowers whose great hall, where he would accept the poor find decorate. He also place in a group of good musicians.

As the evening drew near, he wondered what he had prefabricated and felt swollen with pride. Only one man could actually produce such a rich feast. Only a really good mortal would go through so much trouble for the effort of the urban poor.

During the dinner, however, as he had the glory he gave to the poor saw began to resent the dirty, rude people who had invaded his great hall like an army of rats. His mind began to count the money they had cost him.

Why, he thought I was going through the same problems, but rather invite my dearest friends. Or I could hear my colleagues, or even creditors, I need to get in high esteem, instead of wasting all these unfortunate, cursed by God, they will not even help themselves .

And these thoughts create such a disturbance in his mind that by the end of dinner, he could not stand the sight of these poor people drank wine, lick her lips and the joy found in the sounds of his music.

Suddenly he stood up. With sound claps his hands, he muted the musicians. His guards returned his weapons on the street.

v *

The simplest interpretation, the moral of this story is that it is preferable to a simple meal is a meal of herbs *, but grappling it, my dear, that the respect as being outside our comfort regularize to go to anger and what they represent, which might in the short term and long term have no other result than to duplicate the resentment on their part.

v

an extra layer of interpretation could obey those who are eligible for them, their own motivation to concentrate. Given the choice between a banquet of sweets at the plateau of a host to be treated, they at ideal with polite indifference, but from where they discouraged, but rather in the stomach or sitting in front of a simple plate of pasta at a plateau where they are treated with respect, compassion will be to select would it?

The latter would be the wisest choice, but not all are healthy to select wisely.

Not everyone. The intentions are pure

v

And so there’s more to near this parable: At first glance, but we do not know with certainty which of the characters of the parable is the ideal man.

Research v

Donors Banquet love, respect and acceptance of “making love”

The recipient accepts the offer, but gives nothing in return -. nothing tangible that

Even if it is unintentional on what the recipient does not want to give to those who really support that in a financial field, artistic. emotional or spiritual is an opportunity for us to practice universal love.> </p In turn, if this mortal had to accept and add their own heart energy, everything, even the practice of movement and release of resentments past, just in the moment, they might also be healthy to love and compassion and feeling noticed.

v

This is the search for love by overt acts, which are separated by a pure heart energy is that a kind of anger that can easily turn into hatred can be created.

v

Political arguments aside, the International Arena One, where we can notice that, generally talking Nations assistance, financial, but mostly impersonal Third World has not, in the last fifty years generates a lot of pro-Western and recognition respect, even though billions and billions of dollars equivalent, many countries were, * * donation to relieve the country affected by the emergency.

v

Karl Marx might be right when he says, “What the bourgeoisie therefore produces, above all, are its own gravediggers.” But in the spirit of the topic at hand, he has absolutely missed the point where he thought his start and the victory of the proletariat alone is a just society for everyone to arrive.

Karl Marx, it is reasonable to assume, not pull bourgeois in the destruction process of separation and conditional love.

v

A key step in the transformation of some of our karma in this life it is not divide us by anyone. While we as individuals could see the difference between us is really that superficial and slight, if we think there are only so many ways that someone can respond to a stimulus, and I suspect at various moments in our lives in many -. past and present – our reactions to most colors were spoiled on the palette. petty cash and evil too generous and heroic

The bottom line, as I see is that we are neither superior nor worse, * even more * one-of-a-kind as apiece pixel of all other pixels Makeup is enormous billboards pan.

We have no more or less one-of-a-kind than all the other drops from which are the oceans.

It is very unfortunate that so many kids are place into the intent that they * * * * individual and one-of-a-kind and special *. * Are

It is wonderful that all children, in fact, so dear to apiece parent, however, is how tiny Small items under $ 6.6 billion others, they are not one-of-a-kind and we.

v

Furthermore, it is a very useful thing would be for parents to instruct moral values to instruct their kids the link between good ideas and intentions behind the actions of the very good * * good. The sooner a child learns his direct command of their own karma, the better, because “too beautiful and well-trained and a good student and parents are chesty of themselves do not really know what it is. ‘S

v

When it comes to non-separation, which seems to happen is that we forget that we * only * souls in disguise are coming. I mean, we are only the vehicle, guests are loyal to our souls, right?

The truth is, is another concept that I have not integrated. If I comprehend with my mind, but it’s not that I easily on my perception of people around me might apply. The moron in the automobile in front is always an moron in the automobile in front.

v

Remember that we interpret things differently, you, me and everyone else in between. And we, as actors our job to take too seriously. We forget that we have defined on the world stage, therefore, limited set, as our perception *. *

So … Our brain is full of ideas, most of them trivial, and well beyond their use-by date: Some one or two moments, others a week or two, one or two decades, some a hell of a. more

If the food, they would be too toxic to keep our pantry shelves, but we do not want to be too toxic for the grappling behind the mask of the LAN, as well as we surf, swim – and walnut or dunk the other side of -. the vicissitudes of regular life

v

comprehend this is evenhandedly simple for me, but I still have massive problems in applying the concept of universal love and non-separation as previously discussed. The hard edge that is tattooed in my energy field is one that slides in the minute I lose my concentration at the time, one that prefabricated me blind to realize that the other * * n ‘ is not separate from me the vague intent of the uncertainty that prevents me from standing contentedly basking in life even though I have to do. It keeps me from now on. It prevents me from being at peace with myself and I like to hear my heart murmur. Hence the need to practice, practice. practice

v

A graphical way to remember this distinction is not equal logic-for-the-course, fat and skin.

Even though clearly our society certainly encourages the muscles of adipose tissue to separate, we can not, we can not pick and select which bits of the karma that we like and the bits we want to spit.

v

Understanding the non-separation is to comprehend how we can not absolutely healthy, but missing a portion of our components, much less the muscle separating the fat can separate us someone else, not even people we do not normally select to close. There is not a healthy way of fat or tendon of atoms to separate from the gut. Not while we live.

v

The good news is that when it comes to universal love, we do not really go out of their way to act * * good or physically touch anyone.

The concept of equality in the constitutions of most countries is included, but that the equality takes into statement that our physical and mental potential.

v includes

non-separation, that karma rich or poor, brilliant or stupid, honest or criminal, we’ve all been there and done that not only massive or small way in this life, but a dramatic and over again in our past lives.

v comprehend

For the concept of non-separation, it helps, this life be considered just another patch on the great tapestry that apiece of our previous incarnations woven in with our souls on board.

It is important to recognize that for millenniums, our soul has not always been pretty well balanced, the body safely occupied, not as in this life.

v

If I am serious about my practice of non-separation, I try to envision my students and I, like many pixels together teeth. In fact, we are all interdependent on apiece other in class and field. We know how our interdependence breaks are really minute-a tragedy of the school.

The same is true interdependence is very clear at the moment a bomb derailed a train somewhere. As a victim, even if only a little, we are still great so grateful when a passerby gives us a hand and see us to safety.

v

A mortal is uncommon in a weakened state, refuses the help of foreigners, who moments early sour.

Awareness more mundane non-separation is in the class, my learning useful floor, my experimentation.

I need to remind me that my case is in harmony with my students, all decisions of my students in droves to become self-discipline and active learners -. a desire in my less enlightened moments – How to test my own development processes to refine my skills and where is my challenge

lie? v

Our differences are only superficial, most of us already know, but since we all have a soul above, and we all have an energy field, we influence apiece other in a so that we can imagine.

v

I am convinced that we are as different and one-of-a-kind cookie on a plate, even the punch did his thing.

v

This usually requires universal love for us is to change our individualized power *, not necessarily our behavior.
Even if we come out of the way * to do a good deed, but turns out to annoy the hell out of him – we did not score poor energy -.

If there an ulterior motive that drives us to do, what that does for someone else, again no point -. energy poor

What’s happened since altruism * * for a dependent, perhaps an elderly parent or a disabled child, but does so because the surface of duty?

v

What it * in terms of shit our boss or with a friend, who gave us the finger or the bitch who … whatever Non-separation in the performance of the energetically neutral emotion *. No spikes of adrenaline. No /> <br repressed anger If we react way to know the tiny finger to finger … ts, ts -. Several points in the red

Also, we all have an escalation, as arguments can come out of nowhere ..

v

p <On the day, a instructor of English and French in Brisbane, Australia, and the night, first author of novels and now a writer of spiritual material, I'm looking for doable – I am looking for a connection to my soul here jetzt.Zugegeben exactly, I have an ulterior motive – a very strong addition: I'm the karma of my energy by changing its properties bearbeiten.Diese me, a few years to think about my life as often as the molecular composition of my body that never was.

No amount of planning, no skills or specs or spreadsheets, can stop a force that moves the planet- Nancy Gibbs on the 9.0 quake that hit Japan – Time Magazine, March 28, 2011

This article was first published in December 2010

Back in Might 2010, at the time of the eruption of Eyjafjallajökul, the Nordic volcano, I wrote a five-part blog, Lid Blown on What’s Brewing Below, on how collectively *we* have managed to make the planet angrier with our mindless progress and its corollary – a penchant for taking as much as we can of whatever, matched by a limited capability to give much of anything to anyone … unconditionally.

As a result, collectively, regardless of which part of the world we happen to be living in, nature a.k.a. the Cosmos is making us accountable. It is forcing us to reap collective karma that needs to be amended collectively.

Back in Might 2010, while the BP spill was still spreading its oily ugliness crossways Florida’s coastline and into the Mississippi delta, I concluded one of my articles with this thought: The forces of nature along with individualized as well as separate/collective karma are going about the business of teaching us, mankind, essential lessons in spiritual survival with a single-mindedness similar to one who, stranded on an island, must break open coconuts with bare hands to get to the sweet milk within.

By that I meant that nature is stirring and shaking our psyche by finally reacting up close and individualized with us who live in so-called civilised parts of the world as opposed to those it has challenged for decades – those who live in harsh lands and remote areas of Third World countries. Separately and together, it would be ideal if we managed to rethink our thinking in regards to *science*, *progress* and *lifestyle* because the viability of individualized options are narrowing, as we speak.

According to a snip on Wikipedia,in April 2010, Ólafur Grímsson, the Nordic President warned about a second much larger volcano: ‘The time for Katla to erupt is coming close…we [Iceland] have prepared…it is high time for European governments and airline authorities all over the world to begin planning for the eventual Katla eruption.’” [1]

Right. And then what? I asked myself.

On the 7th of November 2010, on a lovely sunny Sunday somewhere in Australia, I read that international flights have been suspended to and from Indonesia and that Air Asia has cancelled 11 of its own because the activity of Mount Merapi, a volcano, a few hundred kilometres out of Jakarta, in Indonesia.

Today, a week later, I see that villages and all that makes them – from huts to buildings, to statues, to the common place palm trees and roads in between – are *ghosted* by layers of sticky, thick, grey ash. 206 people have so far died. 400.000 more have fled their homes and the clean-up cost is counted in billions of dollars.

The ancient ones considered volcanic ash the messenger heralding the awakening of the earth-shaking, fire-spitting dragon – the eruption of lava. Indonesia has had an uneasy past and, to this day, corruption is rampant and costly. Again, it might well be that for the local government, as well as for the world around, an eruption of molten lava there should be interpreted as yet another of nature’s gesture to cleanse, not just the immediate area, a mere dot on the world map, but to burn out the spread of the pandemic virus identified as GaD, short for Greed and Deceit.

No one can ever know why it has so far been the Indonesians’ collective [inherited] karma to bear the brunt of these acts of god/nature but, knowing that disasters are not only aimed at the ones, victims and survivors who are directly affected, it certainly would not injured if all government officials, huge billionaires, tiny millionaires, business folks as well as us, tiny people, currently suffering from the GaD syndrome managed to wake up long enough to address our priorities and redress our M.O. while we still can.

Sadly, it is also in Indonesia that, in 2006, a giant wave killed more than 130,000 people – only two years after another ocean quake triggered off the coast. That monster wave, referred to as the Boxing Day tsunami, plucked 230,000 people off the coast line of fourteen neighboring countries.

News headlines make it clear that, as rolling waves born out of nowhere suddenly ride hard the horizon line to slam against jetties and destroy livelihood, flood our streets and occasionally take lives, the answer to “And then what?” has already come to us in multiple ways.

Last month, also in Indonesia, on Mentawai island, a legendary destination for surfers, more than 400 people died including many kids when the approaching giant wave unsuccessful to trigger signal warnings.

Interestingly, back in Might 4 2010 – freak waves batter la Promenade des Anglais, in Nice, France – my hometown. The reality of a sea storm on the famed Riviera is even more ‘odd’ when we know that on the littoral, the Mediterranean sea, unlike the Atlantic, is normally quite still.

Only days before the official opening of the tourist season, this natural disaster spelt economic doom for the season. The cost of repair, mostly of the sea front restaurants between Nice and Cannes, was estimated to be between 3 and 8 millions of Euros.

Most of us do nod in agreement that everything happens for a reason, but we usually change to search for *the reason*. Contextualizing natural events, these so-called book of God, helps make meaning out of events that are occurring more frequently and with more intensity than in the past.

Saying that these disasters are due to global warming or to the El Nino effect only addresses the symptoms not the primary cause. It’s no different than saying that cancer is caused by the genetic mutation of cells while the real question is the one that precedes why have cells mutated in any one particular human being?

Also in Might 2010:  in Poland, village residents found themselves flooded by the Visla river. Their Prime Minister reassured them that financial aid was on its way and that they would be healthy to rebuild their lives.

Again, I remembered thinking, And then what?

As an aside, what I found symbolically interesting is that the Vista’s swell reached all the way to the Auschwitz-Birkenau memorial site. About time! Its flood finally sanitized the horrid energy that undoubtedly still lingered, as energy does, so many years after the last prisoner walked out of the gates.

The death camp ‘artefacts’ were moved to higher grounds, which in itself recommends the symbolisms of Elevation and Purification. Why dismiss the notion that this *act of god* – one that did not take any lives – could be the hint that generally speaking, we all need to forgive, forget and move on?

—————

The thing to keep in mind it that the greater the flood regardless of where it happens, the greater the need for us, individuals, to wash off ourselves in the present moment the deeply engrained scenarios from the past that have long dropped out of real-time, the present suspicion of others’ motives, the dark emotions and the murky fears of the future that, too, only exist in our mind. It’s either that or risk being flooded by them, swept away and left to drown in them – literally as well as figuratively.

Since, it has been confirmed that 20 million people have been affected by the devastating monsoonal floods that began drowning Pakistan in July. One side-result of the catastrophe is that 99 cases of cholera have been detected since, and another is that there have been more than 3,000 cases of Dengue fever leading to 29 deaths, and counting.

In June 2010, came the string of nimble-footed, beautiful and big supercell storms that hit Dakota.

In the grappling of more frequent natural and man-made disasters pockmarking our landscape, heart-in-mouth won’t do. Heart-on-sleeve won’t do.

Heart and soul would fare much better.

Early in October, this year, still in 2010, too soon on the heels of the BP spill, Hungary found itself besieged by toxic red sludge of comparable amplitude. The waters of the famed *Blue Danube* have since become poisonous.

“According to the current evaluation, company management could not have noticed the signs of the natural catastrophe nor done anything to prevent it even while carefully respecting technological procedures,” said a statement issued by the company, Hungarian Aluminium Production and Trade Company. [2]

The residents of Kolontar, the area nearest the leaking reservoir, are due to return to their homes any day now. Apparently, a conserving surround erected for that purpose will keep them innocuous from further leakage. Within the context of this article written for a readership interested in understanding day-to-day matters from a spiritual perspective, I think it is innocuous to say that this so-called conserving surround stands for the hard surround that is around the heart of the industrial hunger we, as a consumerist society, keep feeding.

One month before, in September, a big seism shook the city of Christchurch in *little* New Zealand. The city sustained NZ$ 4 billion worth of alteration – a big amount for any country of its size – but, again, the fortuitous demand of casualties points to the fact that nature knows well that the contract strings around our collective heart are knotted so tightly that the contract has to be slashed open.

—————-

At the moment, Nature is still not that interested in destroying lives, only livelihood, savings,  individualized plans – horded billions of taxpayers’ money = the Economy.

In that respect, yes, 2010 has been a BIG year, indeed, to its very last days.

Epic floods that began between Christmas 2010 and the new year are currently still affecting the say of Queensland, in the south-east corner of Australia, a predominantly agricultural, cattle-farming area also responsible for 75% of our coal export. This area is larger than France and Germany combined.

In its primeval days, the big 31 ft [14 m] flooding has so devastated the towns of Rockhampton [population 75.000] and St George that it will take many, many months to rebuild the colonial waterlogged homes and businesses.

Snakes, such as the deadly taipans, brown snakes and red-bellied blacks, floated from the undergrowth, are clinging to trees and fences, just as they search for dry corners in people’s homes.

In this corner of the world, when town streets become overflowing wide river arms carrying fragments of putrefied, drowned cattle, pets and thousands of bush carcasses, crocodiles – symbols of the mechanical nastiness that lurks deep within apiece of us to strike from ‘below the surface’ -  can't be far away.

The residents of Gympie, in that same corner of Queensland, have just visaged 60 ft [20 m] river swells through their streets since the Mary has broken its banks. And, because *separation is only a figment of our imagination*, other towns and communities downstream are bracing themselves for the worst.

Floods and, the greater the flood, the greater the need for us, as separate entities, to wash from ourselves all negativity of thought, all dark emotions and actions or risk being flooded by them, swept away and left to drown in them – literally as well as figuratively. With that in mind, Senator Barnaby Joyce’s words on Sky News, are anything but *spiritually* encouraging. Still, they are the words that the afflicted residents want to hear. That, and the word Compensation – of course.

“It’s not clean on people’s lives to have water tearing through their homes,” he said. “It’s not good for our economy to be shut down and lose billions of dollars in production. In the future I think we need to look at building dams to mitigate the effects of floods.” [4]

Clearly, the message from Nature, our benevolent Nanny, is still not being heard.

Yesterday, Jan 10, 2011, still in Queensland, twelve days after the first flood in Rockhampton, pedestrians downtown Toowomba [population 90.000] ran for their lives to escape a tsunami-styled torrent of muddy water, a flash flood, that came out of nowhere, overturning automobiles and tearing trees in its path while inflicting swift and hulk-like unbelievable alteration to homes and businesses.

Then it was in Grantham that many houses were ripped off their stumps and floated away. The list of victim-towns grows daily. The floods have kept rolling down south. Tonight, they have just now reached the first river-side suburbs of inner Brisbane – third largest city in Australia, Brisbane [population 2 million approx] where I live.

The flood, here, is due to peak in two days’ time, but in the meantime, it is already on its angry course towards the say of New South Cambria – downstream from us.

Separation is, indeed, a figment of our imagination.

In an outburst of concern and emotion, our Prime Minister, the Say Premier and the leaders of all manner of support groups involved are urging us to keep ourselves safe, to look after apiece other, to go *meet* the neighbors we normally don’t see – or select to ignore – and check up on them..

We can replace your house, is the current motto, but we can’t replace you. Your individualized country is our priority. Please, make it yours.

Absolutely heart-warming :)

At the same time, many people are offering their time and efforts as volunteers.

That IS the Spirit. That is the blue-print of how Nature wants us to DO life – from now on.

Lesson learnt, if we can sustain this new M.O.

Although the Queensland flood death toll, is for now at an incredibly low 12, it will undoubtedly rise – maybe double.

Still, Nature seems much more interested in cleansing the planet by reducing our belongings to watery pulp, by leaving behind most of what we could not do without, and by forcing us to rebuild from the ground up – literally as much as figuratively, with a different awareness, with different individualized priorities.

However, as the saying goes, there is no more dumb than the one who does not want to learn and we are all familiar with the determination of five-year olds to get what they want.

Collectively, in spite of our self-inflated perception of maturity and in spite of our collective brain potential, we position ourselves again and again on the side of the *dumb* and the childlike. Our material losses break our heart. We hit our head against the surround and we pop our pills and drown our pain. And we cry, “My god! Why me?”

And we accuse Nature. We call her violent and we call her angry. And we keep our contract strings wrapped tightly around our heart.

——

I never intended for this article, a compilation of blogs, to grow so long but whenever I hear of yet another blatant example of our ‘herd blindness’, my keyboard jumps up and down, demanding  words on paper – and who am I to refuse, huh?

Be that as it may, since I’m sure my point and concerns are by now quite clear,  this one will probably be the concluding blog on the so-called *Angry Planet* or as I like to think of it, on *The Good Natured Nanny’s growing annoyance with her misguided charges*.

After a while, events and views and reasons and excuses do become very familiar, very repetitive. As it is, at the moment, *we* are already condoning by agent a new and big exploitation that is for now partly illegal. Yes, Nature contains yet another resource that is currently deemed essential to us – in the world as we have prefabricated it: minerals found in red clay and going by the study of  … rare connector – you got to love that name!

Though rare connector is not yet a part of our trivializing small speak – the reality is that the strong acids used by miners, gangster-miners, to process the minerals in Southern China are polluting all the wells, ponds and streams in the area. These have become watery poison for the local villagers.

Why are we, in absentia or by proxy, condoning yet another anti-Nature mining activity? Why are we generally willing to see the mining of rare connector legalized by the Chinese government?

For now, China has the monopoly on the rare connector alloys, which grants her government to turn on/off the supply. China, for now, decides the quotas granted for export to other countries and we turn yet *another* blind eye to the toxicity of this mining practice because rare connector minerals are deemed essential to the manufacturing of everything and anything ranging from our compact fluorescent light bulbs and our Iphones to our flat screens and missiles and also to our low-emission automobiles and our giant wind turbines

Here, in Australia, AustralianRareEarth.com says that, “‘Rare Earth Elements (REEs) can be regarded as the “vitamins” required for the shift from a carbon based economy to the new 21st century electron economy’ -SLS 2008″ and produces “some wonderful investment opportunities.” [5]

Even if that doesn’t sound lovely to our ears, how much, collectively, are we willing to be collectively inconvenienced by rejecting this mining practice? How determined are we to collectively miss out or do without while *Science* comes up with more alternatives to old alternatives from its collective linear-thinking brain?

Even though, as already stated, two of the key criteria for a successful global society are individualized contentment and individualized safety, science and technology have not yet prefabricated us more contented – or more safe.

When in the months ahead, as we read about more advancement, more discoveries, more *progress* prefabricated in our study and as we hear, feel and see more *coldness* inside our world and as we, doubtlessly, witness the Good Natured Nanny, becoming more and more impatient with us, her misguided charges, three questions will still be solicitation an answer:

How and when do we, personally and individually, decide to step aside from what appears to be the greatest herd any culture has ever created to take an individual stand on this, on that and the other?
How long will we, together and separately, go on frittering our collective potential?
Can we completely dismiss the fact that our ways of thinking/using/responding are too often as frozen, as barren and as toxic as the world we help create around us?

Nature is squeezing us from where we sin when, collectively, we place monetary preoccupations above all others with a careless exploitation of the planet’s natural resources and with our penchant for hording our money on the one hand while, on the other, using it as a hybrid of bribe and ersatz for love within our family units.

Mega billions of dollars are being squeezed out of our global economy by acts of nature and man-made disasters. One way of making it all less gloomy is to think that wasted as they are to all of us, at least these mega billion of dollars are no longer acquirable to fund more wars.

The use we make of money, as a commodity, has to be re-thought. Money, world-wide, needs to flow freely. A big cultural re-thinking is long overdue. Money does not want to be horded under beds, inside vaults or buried under the spot marked X, as on pirates’ maps of old. Nor should it be gripped by shut hearts and tight fists. Money should be used to do good, but not instead of physical engagement, not instead of real affection. It has to be given generously, not held in a tight bargain, not used as emotional blackmail, not to tip the equilibrise in power struggles, not instead of true affection – not solely for pleasuring our senses. If the flow of our global money is dammed high and deep, nature knows how to rip it away from us while, these days, it does so, sparing a maximum of lives.

By day, a instructor of Senior English and French in Brisbane, Australia, and, by night, first a writer of novels and now a writer of spiritual material, I am on a quest of sorts – I am searching for a connection to my soul, right here, right now.

Admittedly, I have an ulterior motive – quite a strong one at that: I am trying to edit some karma out of my energy field by altering its properties. This, from me, who a couple of years ago thought about my soul as often as the molecular composition of my body, which was never.

Dear Reader,

Should you wish to read the original and fully illustrated pdf versions of all the articles based on Moriya’s teachings, you will find them contextualized on C.C. on Destiny – the only page on the ‘net dedicated to her uncompromising approach to genuine spirituality.

And here is my new 2011 crop of articles on all matters of the Heart & Soul :)

PostHeaderIcon Messages About all Around – Asleep at the Wheel of Life [part 2]

Moriya, who looks after various parrots on her rooftop terrace, told me one day that a very massive bag of organic seeds had just been delivered to her front door. When I queried why ‘organic’ seeds for the birds, she replied in her usual matter-of-fact way that she would not separate herself from the parrots – and her two rabbits.

If she eats strictly organic food and only vegetables and fruit, because it is the healthier alternative, how could she feed anything she would not want for herself to the birds and animals in her care?

Ah, but wait! There’s more.

Besides the fact that they are grown organically, the corn cobs that Moriya purchases are still attached to their husks, which the two pet rabbits, Bonnie and Dolly along with the birds, enjoy very much.

Because these husks are free of pesticide, Moriya always finds “in apiece stalk a huge green worm sleeping at the edge, so I cut the edge and I think that it’s that worm’s clean share of the corn. For without her no corn would have grown, ken? You do know that worms are essential to the soil.”

And so Moriya puts the green worm out in a verandah pot along with its tiny piece of husk or lettuce and there it will live out its days in peace – provided a bird doesn’t pick it too soon as a tasty treat.

Back to the business of our dreams.

“C.C., to make my point clearer, let’s look at another example: the traditional interpretation of a lion in our dreams.

Books usually state that the lion stands for great strength, aggression and physical power which is interpreted as overcoming our emotions as well as our challenges. This interpretation exists simply because, in the modern world, the lion is seen as the king of the jungle. Centuries back, the lion also represented royalty, leadership, pride and dominance.

“When a lion comes to me in a dream, for me it won’t mean that I’m about to take over a situation and impose my will on another being.

It won’t mean that I have to exercise restraint in my own individualized and social life.

What it will mean is a reminder for me to not regress into indulging any of my lower desires, the ones triggered by the base and the sacral chakras.

Look, here is a how a lion came to me in a dream:

I am travel alongside a woman through a very huge hall. We arrive at the top floor where a lion is asleep in the hallway. I state to the woman: “What will happen when the lion awakes? Ze lo beseder that a lion should be lying like this in the middle of the hallway.”

Inside the massive hall that we finally reach, there are many people. Suddenly the lion rushes down the stairs, jumps toward the entrance and starts to struggle

with another lion. Then, the lion returns and approaches me. I just sense that I have powers to block him.  So I point a finger at the lion and state forcefully: “Lo! No!”

The lion retreats but returns again. I extend a finger and again, while looking directly into his eyes, I say: “Lo! Lo! No!”

The lion retreats one more time. Then, suddenly again, he jumps towards me, but stops at my feet and lies down. As I look down, all that there is at my feet is a huge white dog with very long hair.

So I look at this dog in wonderment until his minder comes out of somewhere and stands by me. This man holds a strap that he ties to the dog’s neck.

He smiles at me and takes the dog with him. While they achievement away I see that the dog has become once again a lion.

And now, CC, let’s look at the interpretation of the various symbols present in that dream:

Lion = animalism – lower desires from our base chakra and fed by our ego-persona

Big hall = our ego-persona/ourselves. The more we are developed, the greater is this symbolic hall

A lot of people = our reflected inner being. They symbolize the various *I*s that we are inside our appearance and, for sure, they are numerous. If we see people doing their tasks without conflicts, this stands for our inner harmony. When we can master all our various tiny egos and keep them on a leash, they are under control and ze beseder gamoor.

Dog = unconditional love, faith

White = enlightenment

“C.C., it can be added that the lion’s minder stands for my capability to control my lower desires and my capability to turn them into positive ones – from lion to dog.

In short, this dream has nothing to do with power and dominance or about being a violent carnivore, but what it tells me is that when I control my ego- persona, I tame

‘the creature within’, as the expression goes.

These lowly materialistic urges vanish and I remain enlightened.

The lion that changes into a dog and then changes back, is the reminder that these aspects of ourselves always exist, no matter what. They are always lurking. It is good to remember that they can, and do, take over in turns, depending on how we feed – or starve – them in our day-to-day dealings with others and ourselves.”

** Ze lo beseder = it’s not right   Lo = no Ze beseder gamoor = this is very good

Moriya explains – While the lion is awake, We Slumber

This year, to celebrate the Chinese year of the Rat with friends, one of whom is a Chinese Malay, we went to a restaurant in our local China town. I am not sure how much money the owners of the Enjoy Inn had donated to the Chinese Lion Association of Brisbane, but I am ready to bet that apiece Chinese diversion lion in Brisbane dropped in for a prance around the tables.

The noise of many drums reverberating through the restaurant was deafening.

I gave Moriya an statement of the lions’ leaps and dances around our plateau and explained how their ears, eyelids and tails are manipulated by the dancers

inside the lion cloth-frame and here is her deconstruction of that moment:

Restaurant = where you take what others prepare for you and your friends, i.e. messages, tests, experiences. In restaurant, we have to pay for our food, which stands for having to pay close attention to messages around you; otherwise a price will be have to be paid for ignoring them

The noise of many drums = it is meant for you to be aware and awake!

Dancing lions = flowing. “The lion, as Leo, is your sign, C.C.,” Moriay said, “But generally a diversion stands for the natural movement of life: wind, waves, energy. All in Nature is a continuous dance, like Tai Chi”

They move their eyelids = the need to observe, be aware

Their ears, too = listen to messages. Don’t be hypnotized by your ego-persona or anyone else’s

Manipulated by the dancers inside the lion = ego-personas pretending to be lions

“Why would people pretend to hide behind the mask of a lion?” I asked.

“Because the lion stands for our lower desires. Having a leaping lion’s head in the background of your dinner gathering, C.C., is a good reminder for you, Myarh, and

all who were present to be mindful of the erratic nature of your lower mechanical impulses. Anyway, no creature is ever one-sided. They are all two-sided, exactly like our soul IS us, just as we are her incarnation – the ego-persona in the body she has in this lifetime.

“C.C., while on the topic of impulses and thoughts of a lower order, do you know that irritating flies and mosquitoes are but symbols of what annoys you and of the emotions that take you from the inside? Once you become aware of this and keep perceptive yourself, you will refer your thoughts and you will comprehend how these thoughts bite you worse than any mosquito can ever do. Once you comprehend this deep, deep down, you won’t have to deal with flies or mosquitoes anymore. They will simply fly off to bother someone else.”

Most gardens, here, in Brisbane, harbour colonies of midges, commonly known as sandflies. They come out in the afternoons and even though the flies themselves are pinprick tiny, their bites swell up, itch and linger for days, because I have an allergic reaction to them. Yesterday, a midge bit me on the toe while I was padding around barefoot on the patio. Wearing shut shoes today, a school day, was an irritating experience to state the least. Tomorrow won’t be any better.

If there is a lone mosquito anywhere, no matter how many people are present, it will always find me. Myarh jokes that when I am around, she doesn’t need to apply any insect repellent. Though I am glad to be of help, I can’t move to test out Moriya’s theory that once I can truly be in the moment and refer the pesky thought patterns that make me react mechanically, I will no longer be picked as a preferred landing  pad by these diminutive blood suckers because I will have understood the lesson and moved beyond.

“Having stated that, there are of course places like swamps and marshes that attract mosquitoes. But, ahoti, as like attracts like and as Karma does its work perfectly, there’s not a chance for someone to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

** Ahoti = my sister

Of course, the ego will ask: what would happen if … but in reality there are no ifs.  Ifs are never real. They are only fears we create in our mind. Some people get a clearer message from animals and insects than from people, so that’s their fate to be bitten until they realize the symbolism of that and act on it.

“Look how symbolic it is that the flies and mosquitoes cause maladies like malaria and Ross River fever in your country. People start into a state of deep sleep and hallucinations. So, this malady reflects the state of ‘consciousness’ of these people, showing how sleepily they are in their lives, like the saying that states ‘asleep at the wheel’ and if they won’t do something when they awake from that bout of illness, their soul will attract another event to them, a worse one again.

Ma la-asot, ahoti? Ze ma yesh!

“You see, it is all kish-kush-bala-bush to interpret dreams as horoscopes do in the newspapers or on the net. Our soul never thinks in such basic linear ways. She is love, and faith, and truth and when she sends you an image of a lion, she simply wants you to see your potential to become a queen or a king, which stands for the soul.

You can select to aim for that by understanding the symbolism and by obeying the call or maybe you can lose your focus and revert to obeying your animalistic ego-persona, the one that just wants to be indulged and satisfied and entertained like a child, while being spiritually asleep – at your own risk.

Your mistake is to think that you need to SEARCH and find a symbol here and a symbol there, like a forensic scientist looks for clues.  If you want to see the true meaning of symbols, you need to climb on top of a mountain and notice from high above – a bird’s view.

** Ma la-asot, ahoti? Ze ma yesh! = what can I say, my sister? This is how it is.   kish-kush-bala-bush = load of rubbish

“C.C., the symbols are all around. They are bobbing around like tiny corks, just inactivity for you to look and SEE them. OK, for now, if a mountain top is too high a climb, you can at least try standing on a ladder, yes?” Moriya chides again. Then, cryptically, she adds, “No need to search far for interpretations because you need only to look into the mirror and see everything reflected back at you.

“Messages are reminders like tiny flags. Minute after minute, moment after moment, they come in swift succession. Symbols, messengers, messages – the

show is right before your eyes. It is a live performance and it is very interesting, never boring. And if you should forget to notice and start asleep in the middle of the show, a fresh messenger will come to awake you with a blow on the head.  And see, you don’t even need tickets for this long, long show.  It is set up just for you and it is all free.”

One day, Moriya told me about another of her dreams:

“I had such a strange but beautiful dream and I will tell you about it.

I was preparing a sandwich prefabricated out of a magazine. I took out all the staples, as there were a lot of them holding the pages together. Finally the color pages were ready so I pasted honey on them. Then, I folded the entrepot in two and offered it to the people who were nearby and everyone enjoyed intake it very much.

You see, when I awoke I remembered the prophet Ezekiel [Ezekiel 3:3] to whom God gave a scroll to eat. “Then I ate it; and it was in my mouth as sweet as honey,” he said.

“All I can say,” Moriya added, “is that I hope my teachings are as sweet as honey for those who would like to be awakened from their slumber to acquire self-realization. But nothing can change for anyone who can't open their heart to give unconditional heart-chakra LOVE.”

When I replied, “Yes, OK, but making a sandwich out of a entrepot is a weird dream,” Moriya was swift to reply, “Lama, weird? Look around and see how often people ‘swallow’ words from newspapers, magazines, books, TV, movies, broadcasting and also from apiece other’s mouths, huh? At least I had honey inside my word sandwich.”

**Lama = why?
